Cross-cultural discipleship is an urgent calling to make God known and expand his kingdom. This requires training and preparation and, most importantly, a thorough examination of the heart. Cross-Cultural Discipleship is designed to provide a brief introduction to those interested in cross-cultural discipleship and to examine the heart of the disciple. It can be completed in five sessions in a workshop or coaching format and each session has three sections.
The first section examines the heart of the disciple, the second focuses on cross-cultural training, and the third is a case study that helps you process and put into practice what you have learned through each session. Topics covered include: the analyzation of Biblical theology, the examination of cultural differences, the importance of contextualization, the reality of culture shock, and the process of church planting. The book concludes with next steps for those interested in pursuing cross-cultural discipleship.
